**Customer Operational Intelligence Officer**
12 Month Fixed Term, Full Time 37 hours a week.
Up to £28,373 per annum
Location: Chelmsford
Working Style: Anywhere worker
This position will be hybrid working with a combination of working from home and working from the office at County Hall, Chelmsford.
About us
The Customer Services Team at Essex Council has an ambitions transformation program centred on improving the customer experience, using continuous improvement methodology and principles.
We are recruiting a Customer Operational Intelligence Officer to play a vital role in shaping how we use data and insight to inform our decision making, measure our impact and performance, identify and explore opportunities for continuous improvement.
This post will be in the Essex Library service, with some matrix management and mentoring to support professional development from the Customer Intelligence Team.
About you
You will be enthusiastic about data and have some experience of using Microsoft Excel to intermediate/advanced level.
You will have the ability to learn quickly how to use the libraries management and data systems.
You will have the attributes to work collaboratively with a wide variety of people, work as part of a team, building a trusted relationship with senior stakeholders to influence thinking and strategy.
You need a to be committed to your own professional development, with a natural curiosity and a willingness to learn about new services and processes.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Educated to RQF Level 3 (A-level) or equivalent evidenced by extensive experience.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and knowledge in relevant professional area.
- Experience of working with senior leaders, presenting information to deliver change.
- Ideally have experience of working within a political environment.
- Evidence in using multiple sources of data to deliver true business insight.
- Expert/Intermediate level of knowledge using Microsoft Excel to analyse and present data.
- Evidence of creativity in exploring business opportunities and commercial acumen.
