Deputy Security Manager

The Deputy Site Manager provides security services for East Midlands Designer Outlet. Responsibilities include access control, foot patrols, reporting of all safety and security incidents, and supervising site security officers. The Deputy Site Manager maybe required to operate at times without direct supervision and must routinely report site conditions and escalations to the sites Facilities Executive.
- Enforces access control policy using security devices, barriers.
- Monitor's cameras and access control systems covering data halls and entry/exit doors.
- Manages site temporary badges, processes site access authorization, maintains logs and records in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures.
- Utilizes excellent customer service and communications skills in dealing with client employees, vendors, visitors, and contractors.
- Creates and maintains an atmosphere that is responsive, courteous and respectful; presents a professional image of security.
- Identifies suspicious or prohibited individuals, vehicles, or other items, and ensures that emergency procedure are in accordance with client standards.
- Defuses and manages confrontational, aggressive or threatening people or situations through intervention that utilizes effective communication and other skills.
- Patrols assigned area checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked doors, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
- Responds to emergency and routine incidents including unauthorized incursions, theft, fire, medical emergencies, bomb threat, suspicious activities and people, flooding and facilities issues.
- Clearly communicates all security issues, incidents, and policy violations to the PSOC
- Reads and comprehends printed materials written in English, such as standard operating procedures, post orders, or reports.
- Protects evidence or scene of an incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations through use of barriers and signage. Utilizes knowledge of crime scene preservation to protect evidence.
- Identifies security shortfalls and communicates them using the organizational chain of command. Offers suggestions for improving the security program.
- Maintains documentation and follows standardized procedures.
- Required to know, follow, and enforce safe work practices, and to be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Must have a reliable means of communication, such as cell phone.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a valid driver's license or equivalent.

- Must have a high school diploma, secondary education equivalent, or GED.
- Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

- Required ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Computer usage, which may include prolonged periods of camera and alarm monitoring.
- Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.
