South Yorkshire Future Trams Limited (SYFTL) are recruiting for a Head of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (SHEQ). The Head of SHEQ will play a key role in helping to transform the SHEQ elements of the South Yorkshire tram network. This is an exciting time to be part of South Yorkshire Future Trams Limited (SYFTL) and this role will be pivotal in helping to build a great future for transport in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
You will provide support to the company's employees, line managers and Managing Director on all aspects and responsibilities relating to health, safety, environment and quality, including assessment of the risks associated with general health, safety, environment and quality and the company's scope of activities in general. You will provide clarity and advice to the business and relevant external stakeholders, such as ORR, LRSSB, RSSB, Environment Agency (EA) and EHOs, on safety and environmental reports, benchmarking, and practices aimed at regularly reviewing and reporting on safety within the wider industry.
This is a hybrid role and will ideally be on-site / office-based on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. During your induction and settling in period, this may increase.
