Join us as a Financial Institutions Balance Sheet & Ratings Adviser
- We’ll look to you to assist the production of content, thought leadership and wide-ranging technical expertise and advice, enabling project delivery tailored to our customer needs
- Joining our Financial Institutions Ratings Advisory team, within the Capital Markets division, you’ll be advising banks, insurers and non-banking financial institutions on managing their existing credit ratings and on obtaining first-time ratings
- This is a highly visible and collaborative role, and you'll have the opportunity to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders while making a real impact with your work

**What you'll do**:
As a Financial Institutions Balance Sheet & Ratings Adviser, you’ll be supporting management in building and maintaining senior level customer relationships with our customers. You’ll be supporting the origination and provision of fee-based advisory services to our customers in relation to the disposal, acquisition or risk management of businesses or portfolios of financial assets.

You’ll be preparing detailed and accurate materials and managing logistics to support meetings on ratings topics with clients and to support team seniors in executing rating advisory mandates for clients.

You’ll also be:

- Assisting in the origination of financial institutions advisory transaction opportunities, from seeking customer relationships to actively cross selling our capabilities
- Assisting in obtaining internal approvals, negotiation with customers, and documentation
- Analysing the credit ratings position of European financial institution clients to generate ideas for discussion with them
- Developing relationships with rating agency analysts and business development professionals

**The skills you'll need**:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a background in financial institutions or credit ratings, coupled with experience of working in a customer-facing role in an investment bank, as a junior analyst in a rating agency, or in the central functions of a major financial institution.

In addition, you’ll be educated to degree level or equivalent, with evidence of mathematical aptitude.

You’ll also need:

- Outstanding analytical skills
- Excellent PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills
- The ability to deal with clients
- An eye for detail and the ability to learn and adapt to new skills quickly
- Excellent communication skills, particularly written English
