Payroll Officer

An exciting new role has arisen for a payroller to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business in Manchester. This highly profitable business operates across the globe and they need a payroller to join their well-established finance team. The role is paying between £24k - £28k and it is predominantly office-based with 1 day WFH.
**THE ROLE**
You will be part of the Finance team and the main part of the role is being responsible for executing the weekly and monthly contractor payroll and ensuring that all information has been processed in good time allowing for the prompt running of the payroll function.
Key responsibilities:
- Organise intake of invoices and timesheets in accordance with the monthly planner
- Data entry of information pertaining to existing and new contractors taken from new starter forms - in finance system and bank
- Scanning received new starter details onto the database
- Complete administration/adherence of the Wages Protection Scheme
- Chase invoices and timesheets from Ltd companies and contractors
- Data entry of timesheets and invoices
- Validating and checking Expense Claims and receipts
- Validating exchange rates
- Sending remittances and payslips to contractors
- Scanning of timesheets and invoices
- Entering payments into Bank using templates
- Invoice weekly/monthly Clients
- Creating and Maintaining PO spreadsheets to track spend
- Tracking Sales invoices against PO Spreadsheet
- Complete incoming enquiries from contractors in terms of paid or due invoices
- Communicating with overseas Administrative teams with regard to cash advances/expense recharges or deductions
- Client/Contractor Filing
**THE PERSON**
- You will have previous experience within Payroll
- You will be competent in Microsoft Office Suite, and an intermediate level of Excel would be required
- You will be proactive and have the ability to manage your own time
- Strong attention to detail is required with good numeracy and literacy skills
- You will be organised, with a positive can-do attitude
- Experience of working in either a bureau or agency environment would be advantageous but not essential
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
