We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Stock Controller to join our team, reporting to the Stock Control Supervisor. This critical role involves managing all inventory control activities, ensuring the seamless flow of stock in and out of our inventory. Your efforts will maintain inventory accuracy, prevent shortages, and support operational continuity and profitability.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Produce and analyse daily reports, addressing and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Provide inventory reports to management.
- Collaborate with divisions to ensure full stock availability.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory reports from our 3PL provider.
- Oversee the receipt of incoming products in alignment with SLA.
- Address and resolve stock discrepancies and damages with the 3PL provider.
- Manage obsolete products and inter-site stock transfers.
- Report on warehouse occupancy and manage customer returns.
- Monitor and evaluate consumables usage and costs.
**Essential Criteria**:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in inventory control within a distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory control/management systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and business administration skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Effective time management and workload prioritisation.
- Flexible approach to work, with a willingness to work additional hours when necessary.
- Willingness to undertake any required training.
