SENIOR STOCK CONTROLLER

Full-Time | Immediate Start Available

Any 5 days out of 7 

£27,000 Annual Salary plus Overtime Rates & Shift Premium 

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Senior Stock Controller to lead and support stock operations across our site. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory, supporting customer service, and stepping into leadership responsibilities when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • All duties and responsibilities below require proficiency with the daily use of Manhattan/Scale and Microsoft packages (Excel/Outlook).

  • Own and optimise the physical layout and profiling of stock to ensure efficient space utilisation and accessibility.

  • Maintain and manage item master data with precision, ensuring system accuracy and consistency.

  • Produce and analyse stock reports using advanced Excel functions, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups, to support operational decisions and continuous improvement.

  • Deliver high-quality service to internal and external customers, resolving stock-related queries promptly and professionally.

  • Take a hands-on role in stock control activities, including cycle counts, investigations, and adjustments.

  • Lead and support stock teams in the absence of Stock & Systems Coordinators, ensuring continuity and performance.

  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Operate a scissor lift safely. Candidates must hold a valid licence or be willing to undertake training.

  • You may be asked, at times, to support the Inbound/Outbound functions (holiday cover, sickness absence etc.)

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and reporting tools.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and resilient under pressure.
  • Scissor lift licence (preferred) or willingness to be trained.
