Passive Fire Operative - London

**MJ Fire Safety**, an integral business within the wider Marlowe Fire and Security Group, are seeking to appoint an experienced fire stopper able to complete surveying, installation and administration with at least 3 years regulatory & standardsexpertise in BS476-22, IFC, BM Trada, FIRAS or equivalent.

**Job Purpose**

MJ Fire Safety require a passive fire specialist to take on an exciting role within the department, the applicant will be required to supervise the fire stopping section of our passive fire department, he / she will need to support the department managerin surveying, quoting and installation of fire stopping products across our existing client base in and around London and the South east.

**Who are we looking for**

A driven and enthusiastic individual that relish's a challenging environment, who can work under pressure and works well in a team environment or on their own, be comfortable in dialogue with clients and sub-contractors and must have a good understandingof third-party accreditation requirements in this field. Comprehensive knowledge of passive fire protection systems and products such as Rockwool and Nullifire are essential as the role will include both installation and administration.

**Responsibilities**
- To lead in the Install of fire stopping to manufacturers guidance and in line with our IFC third party accreditation
- Complete compliant repair and maintenance work in accordance with manufacturer guidance.
- Survey, measure and inspect breaches in fire compartmentation.
- Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with our Health and Safety system
- Manual handling of fire stopping products to and from the area of installation ensuring the safety of all individuals in the area
- Removal of redundant fire stopping for disposal.
- Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with our Health and Safety system

**You will have**
- Extensive knowledge of schemes such as BM Trada, IFC, FIRAS or equivalent.
- Expert understanding of BS476-22 and manufacture global assessment data.
- Qualifications with ASFP would be an advantage.
- Knowledge in terms of fire stopping products such as Rockwool and Nullifire and associated systems.
- An understanding of fire strategy drawings and fire risk assessments.
- Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Customer Care
