Due to continued growth, Laser 24 are now looking for a Process Operator to join our friendly & professional team.

**Purpose of the Role**:
Overseeing the operations in the manufacturing plant. Monitor equipment to ensure the quality, efficiency, and safety of the plant. Responsible for the safe operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of the facility’s equipment and instruments.

**Job Description Role and Responsibilities**

- Program and operate the facility computer systems that operate our machinery and processes
- Conduct continuous inspections of all key process points in the facility, to identify anything abnormal. Make any machinery and equipment adjustments and implement the proper response.
- Responsible for maintaining detailed reports of operations, update process logbooks.
- Making sure goods are produced and bent efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality
- Ensuring you adhere to the health & safety requirements, site safety, technical and hygiene procedures
- Identifying areas of waste and work with the team to reduce and eliminate
- Shift and 'on-call' work required, particularly where manufacturing/production equipment is in continual 24-hour operation.

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s grade C or above which includes Math’s and English.
- Further education preferred but not essential.

**Preferred Skills**
- Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting abilities
- Basic computer skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Able to lift, use tools, shovel, sweep, load & unload, and carry materials up to 25kg

**Advanced skills**
- Work experience in laser manufacturing or similar industry
- Ability to pass and attain Fork truck certification.
- Ability to service and build manufacturing equipment

**Working hours**:

- 40hrs per week, Double shifts, 6am-2.30pm / 2pm-10.30pm Monday-Friday, Could be changing to 48hrs per week Monday - Friday 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am
- Overtime on Saturday (once a month) and when necessary. - (Subject to change)
- Overtime pay rate is 1.5 times.

**Salary**: £12.02 per hour
