**Job Introduction**:
We are looking for a senior producer to play a leading role in a new team delivering a daily news podcast from BBC Scotland News which will launch in January 2025.
The podcast will be published four days a week (Monday to Thursday) on BBC Sounds and other podcast platforms, as well as being broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland. It will also be visualised for publication on BBC iPlayer and broadcast on TV (on BBC One Scotland and the BBC Scotland channel).
The podcast will seek to cover stories and issues of interest and importance to news audiences in Scotland.
You will be working to the series producer and alongside presenter Martin Geissler and a team of producers.
**Main Responsibilities**:
You will be the lead producer for individual episodes of the podcast, making key decisions about which stories to cover and in what form.
You will simultaneously have an “on-air” role as a regular contributor from time to time.

Significant experience operating video and audio editing software such as Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition and/or Avid Media Composer is equally desirable.
**About the BBC**:

Diversity matters at the BBC. We have a working environment where we value and respect every individual's unique contribution, enabling all of our employees to thrive and achieve their full potential.
We want to attract the broadest range of talented people to be part of the BBC - whether that’s to contribute to our programming or our wide range of non-production roles. The more diverse our workforce, the better able we are to respond to and reflect our audiences in all their diversity.
