**The company**

You will be working for a high-quality food manufacturer at their BRC Grade A production facility, supplying products to their customer base all over the UK.

**About the NPD Technologist job**

The purpose of your role will be to support the NPD Manager with the development and innovation of products, liaising with all departments to ensure products and services are supplied within agreed specifications.

Key tasks:

- Create ideas for future trends from internal and external briefs in line with the business strategy.
- Keep up to date with key development trends within the food industry.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers, external contacts, and colleagues.
- Prepare recipes and action plans with the NPD Manager using nutritional information and specifications.
- Prepare bench scale samples, review with customers, and organise shipment.
- Organise and lead factory trials.

**About You**
- Previous food product development experience is preferred, this could be from a university placement.
- Understanding of the food NPD process, from concept to launch.
- Additional food qualifications such as Food Hygiene, Food Safety etc. is an advantage.

**More details**

The NPD Technologist job is based in Cheshire and is paying £24,000 - £27,000 according to your experience.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 4 pm and (3 pm finish on Friday).

This is a fixed-term contract position with a duration of 12 months.
