We are also responsible for the Fraud Compensation Fund (FCF), that’s function is to provide compensation to occupational pension schemes, with insolvent employers, that suffer a loss that can be attributable to an offence involving dishonesty.

We are looking for a Fraud Compensation Fund Associate to join the team and manage a portfolio of cases from initial contact through to conclusion, working within the legislative framework whilst producing internal processes and procedures.

This position responsible for ascertaining if the case is eligible for compensation in accordance with relevant pension legislation, by critically analyse a substantial amount of technical evidence. Then produce a formal paper documenting the complete findingsand providing a recommendation, which is then formally presented to the Acceptance Committee (PPF directors). This is done whilst supporting Trustees through the process and monitoring their budget spend.

This role is a challenging, yet rewarding position, that will give the successful applicant the exposure to all levels of staff within and outside of the PPF, including executive committee members and pension trustees.

Our ideal applicant will have experience gained from within the Financial Services industry (ideally pensions) and have experience of managing multiple tasks/ projects that are at multiple stages at the same time. Applicants will be able to demonstrate theability to critically analyse large volumes of complex information, conduct relevant investigations to support any decisions and judgements along with ability to communicate, influence and persuade stakeholders. If you have experience in law or have workedfor TPO, TPR, FSCA or police it would be seen favourably but this is not essential.
