**Description**:
We are currently seeking 2 enthusiastic full-time Facilities Assistants to join our growing team at Bath Spa University. (The standard hours for this role are 10am to 6pm and 8am to 4pm though some flexibility may be required. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract)
**About the Role**:
This role involves cleaning, waste collection, furniture moves, room set-ups, and deliveries across multiple university sites. You will support the university’s waste management plan, including recycling initiatives and reducing landfill waste. Responsibilities also include assisting with relocations, events, minor repairs, and maintaining stock levels in cleaner’s cupboards. You must adhere to health and safety regulations, wear appropriate PPE, and ensure high standards in all tasks.
**About You**:
As our proactive Facilities Assistant, you will have excellent communication, and customer service skills and will work effectively within a team environment. You will follow written and verbal instructions, work under pressure, and adapt to change. You should have experience using non-powered tools for minor repairs, knowledge of cleaning products, and an understanding of Health & Safety, including COSHH.
A full, clean driving licence is required. You must be able to assess and follow HSE guidelines, demonstrate good interpersonal skills, and be willing to learn new skills through training.
**Additional Information**:
**Salary: Grade 3, £24,310 to £25,733 per annum**
**This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract**
**Please note the salary quoted includes the Real Living Wage payment, which has been added to bring it up to £24,310 (12.60 per hour) from 1st December 2024**

**This post will involve physical work including considerable amounts of bending, stretching and lifting.**
**The post holder must hold a current driving licence.**
