**Senior Finance Analyst**

**Contract**

**Watford - hybrid role**

**£350 per day, inside IR35**

Can you work in a fast paced business facing team? Will your insights drive improved performance across supply chain network? Do you understand how changes in our business and environment impact the Logistics P&L and how to make the most of these opportunities?

This role will be instrumental in ensuring that we store merchandise in the most efficient and profitable way, giving it the advantage it needs to succeed in the rapidly evolving retail space.

By taking ownership of the Outside Storage P&L, this person will be able to provide robust, comprehensive and insightful financial analysis.

By establishing strong relationships, this person will act as both a business partner and a leader, bridging operating teams and finance teams to ensure that operational decisions are in line with delivering our financial plans.

This position demands the ability to understand end-to-end off price business model while being able to link the impact of operational performance to financial results.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Understand how store merchandise before they are transported to stores (Outside Storage) and be able to challenge Operations on their storage strategy
- To be able to work with stakeholders in buying, operations and other areas of finance to identify opportunities in our merchandising strategy and ensure the business and financial goals are delivered
- Own the regular planning and tracking of key KPIs that measure storage efficiency and be able to use them to assist Distribution and Finance management to make the best short and long term decisions
- Perform month end and forecasting duties for and be able to articulate and present key drivers for performance vs. plan to senior stakeholders in Operations and Finance
- Assist on next years budget and long range financial plan process to provide outputs; identifying opportunities to remain efficient as we grow
- Assist the Manager and Manager of, within the team, to provide cohesive analytical support on ad hoc analyses that drive strategic and operational decisions

**Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience**
- Qualified Accountant
- Knowledge of procedures and methods of operation within distribution centres
- Excellent communication skills across all levels and must have well developed influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes
- Strong analytical, problem solving and numeracy skills
- Confident use of Excel
- A proven track record of delivering results to deadlines
- High level of initiative, curiosity and drive
- A flexible attitude and forward thinking nature
- Ability to 'work in the grey' / exercise 80:20 rule
