Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and energetic **Workshop Assistant** to support our engineers and help maintain an efficient workshop environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Test and maintain workshop equipment, ensuring all areas are kept in good working order.
- Manage the distribution, storage, and stock control of materials and equipment.
- Assist with pricing, ordering, and restocking components and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations by maintaining a clean and safe workshop.
- Secure workshop tools, equipment, and materials to prevent loss or damage.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure that vehicles, equipment, materials, and parts are prepared and available for use.
- Occasionally travel to sites and assist engineers during installations or servicing, including overnight stays when necessary.

**Requirements**:

- A strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand and power tools would be an advantage
- Has an understanding of the requirements of the Health and Safety act
- Experience in equipment assembly, maintenance, and repair.
- Physical capability to handle heavy lifting and perform equipment repairs.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Basic welding skills (desirable but not essential).
- Strong customer service skills to assist clients effectively.
- able to work well with others.

Pay: £23,700.00 per year
