**Role context and purpose**:
The Head of Risk & Assurance will hold an important leadership role within Pulsant and be responsible for leading our approach to risk, risk management, reporting and the assurance frameworks across the business. The role will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will provide regular communication and updates to the Executive Leadership Team. You will be tasked with ensuring that our business is fully compliant with all relevant legislation, regulation and codes of conduct and be responsible for proactively driving and ensuring delivery of the Pulsant’s continuous compliance and regulatory commitments.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Establish, develop, lead, and motivate the Risk and Assurance team.
- Assist the ELT with quantifying and setting the business’s appetite for risk.
- Work closely with business managers to ensure that Pulsant’s risk management framework is robust.
- Ensure that the provision of risk management information is timely, accurate and complete to the ELT and other forums within the business.
- Design, implement and manage the business-wide compliance framework, including our Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Design and develop regular risk and compliance monitoring policies, procedures, and practices, and importantly performing internal audits.
- Develop and embed a strong risk management culture in business.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and relevant codes of conduct.

**Skills & Experience**
- Knowledge of the following standards:

- ISO9001
- ISO14001
- ISO27001
- ISO50001
- Considerable experience of risk management frameworks and practices
- Experience in: delivering an internal audit process, data protection and Health & Safety risk management
- Proven track record of operating at a senior management level
- Other qualifications/certifications appropriate to the role, would be desirable e.g.
- CISM
- CRISC
- ISO internal auditor
- IOSH
