Freightserve recruitment are looking for Warehouse Supervisor based on a 4 nights on 4 nights off shift for a major Freight Forwarder. The role is based in the Heathrow area.
**Responsibilities:

The purpose of the role is to work as part of Warehouse team to process LHR and Gateway shipments
- Receiving of inbound export and import freight
- Processing of outbound export and import freight. Loading and unloading of vehicles using forklift truck. Sort and split freight as per customer SOP’s. Adherence to all regulatory body procedures i.e. CAA, ETSF etc as directed. Use handheld scanners aspart of the warehouse management system. Frequently complete manual handling tasks. Maintain safe and tidy work environment including carrying out housekeeping functions in the warehouse and yard.
- Ensure all health and safety and in house procedures are followed. Use all MHE (Material Handling Equipment) as trained.
- Reporting any operational queries to relevant Supervisor / Duty Officer / Shift Manager. Maintain good, professional working relationships with other departments and external suppliers.
- Complete all ULD builds to Airlines specifications as instructed by LHR Gateway. Ensure Aircraft safety is maintained at all times by completing builds to satisfactory standard. Responsibility for final QC (quality check) and subsequent sign off of ULDbuild sheet. Ensure all related documentation is completed accurately and any issues reported to LHR Gateway. Ensuring Warehouse access is restricted to authorised personnel only.

- Minimum 1 year experience of working in an airfreight Warehouse environment in a ULD build role (Essential).
- Team player, Conscientious, A passion for excellence and commitment to be the best
- Good understanding of written and spoken English (Essential), Basic mathematical skills (Essential), Successful completion of in house ULD build course. Basic geographical knowledge (Desirable).
- Minimum Cargo Operative AVSEC training (Can complete in house), Counterbalance forklift (Essential), Reach forklift (Desirable), 5 year checkable history. Current CRB
Hours of work 6pm - 6am Nights (4 on 4 off)
