Head of Information Services

We are looking to recruit a Head of Information Services that will report to the Finance Director. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the us leading information service and support a rapidly growing user base. **Key Responsibilities**:
Lead our in-house Information Services team to deliver excellence to our rapidly growing customer base, improving day to day services through an inspired, motivated, and highly efficient team:
- Define and lead our technology strategies ensuring they meets the growing needs of our business
- Enable and support business transformation and critical change projects, leading all third-party technology developments
- Lead core services, network, technology services, service desk, access to systems and equipment, providing a high-quality user experience
- Collaborate with colleagues from across the business and external industry partners to align our strategies, share learning and best practice to achieve the best outcomes for

both Northern and our customers
- Manage supplier relationships so that we get value for money from excellent services

Lead Northern’s Info Sec Team to ensure Northern’s Cyber security defences and policies are robust and under continuous improvement.

Provide the technical platform and support for our Business Insight Team and growing community of analysts.

**About you**:
ITIL Service Management knowledge and experience is essential as is an understanding of enterprise architecture and the essential practices that keep our staff, information, and data safe and secure. You’ll also need:

- Experience of working on large scale digital transformation projects
- Able to align modern technology projects with day-to-day service delivery identifying opportunities for efficiency and business process change through technology
- You’ll be an inspiring leader of teams; engaging, motivating, innovating, and experienced in leading people through change whilst putting Customers at the heart of service initiatives
- Experience of improving service operations functions
- Experience of managing large budgets and financial planning
- Confident influencer, collaborator, and relationship builder
- Resilient, comfortable in the role of most senior service expert providing advice and guidance to Directors, Senior Leaders, Project Leaders as well as Group colleagues and external suppliers
- Available to be part of our Information Services on-call rota
