With no day ever being the same the Maintenance Engineer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class manufacturing environment. **Role & Responsibilities**: The maintenance engineer will be responsible for all electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification work on production lines on site. This would include fault finding through to a competent level with a multimeter or by checking inputs and outputs,reading schematics and checking HMI screens. PLC experience and mechanical hand skills essential. Electrical components include sensors, relays, safety circuits, 3 phase motors, conveyors, converters, switches & panels. Mechanical components include gearboxes,conveyors, bearings, belts, rod and eye controls etc. The work will be a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance working with mixers, cookers, sonic cutters, multi weigh heads, flow wrappers, vertical baggers, check weighers, metal detectors, box erectors,glue lines, printers, barcode printers and scanners, depositors, pumps, pipe work, large weigh scales, tray sealers. - Ensuring day-to-day production plans are met by maintaining and supporting the installed assets. - Being responsible and accountable for completing planned preventative maintenance schedules in a safe and cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy. Including machine set up. - Being involved with appropriate training to improve skills and help to ensure all plant needs are met. - Looking for and implementing cost effective solutions to continuous improvement and using lean techniques **Knowledge, Skills & Experience**: - Have a time served Apprenticeship, NVQ level 3 or HNC qualification - Are computer literate including Microsoft excel and word. - Are able to demonstrate practical engineering skills and enjoy a hands-on approach.
