- In the Assistant Family Worker job, you will be:
- Running and supporting groups sessions (including online) and informal gatherings in the Family Centres and other settings.
- Encouraging peer support between families by planning, organising and delivering activities
- Supporting families to access the organisations services, providing information advice and assistance
- Actively promoting the family centre as a single point of access and engaging with the community
- To be considered for the Assistant Family Worker role, you will need:
- Experience working within a administration / clerical setting
- Empathy and caring nature
- Experience of working with children, young people and/or families experiencing poverty and/or with complex needs
- An ability to work under pressure and meet given deadlines
- Excellent communication & organisational skills and the ability to manage own time and workload
- Administration skills including data handling/filing, produce and present
- Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality
- As Conwy has large rural areas the ability to drive and use of a car is required, or the ability to travel within the area to attend appointments. And flexibility with the working hours will be required as you will be working to meet the needs of the business.
- This is a full time (37 hours per week) temporary vacancy for approximately 12 weeks with a pay rate starting from £10.00 per hour plus holiday pay and mileage expenses where appropriate.
