**About the team**

- Our Global Security team takes an intelligence led and integrated approach across all areas of security (physical, information, business continuity/recovery), and Privacy

We bring this together through our innovative Security Operation Fusion Centres

**Your role**

As a member of the Business Security team, you will play a key role in supporting our global operating model, working with colleagues across the globe to help the team represent the wider Global Security Department with the business and effectively handle security risk across the firm. In addition, as the role is based in EMEA you will work closely with the EMEA business to understand their needs and help deliver their plans whilst effectively managing security risk.

**You will be involved in**:

- Supporting the wider Business Security team across the globe, whilst participating in the Global Business Security Analyst Pool
- Assisting with the tracking, monitoring, and reporting of Business Security teamwork, running daily stand-ups
- Representing Global Security and act as an interface to the EMEA business for Security concerns, as well as assist in security risk identification, classification, and satisfactory resolution in Invesco’s operations
- Assisting with identifying and communicating security risks within the EMEA business (including in third party providers) and work to explain the risks in languages understood outside Global Security
- Understanding the EMEA business strategy, requirements, major initiatives, high value assets, and risk appetite and tolerances
- Assisting with alignment between Global Security and the EMEA business and promote a business-driven approach
- Raising security awareness in the EMEA business, as well as help to plan and conduct training across different lines of business
- Reporting to leadership and management groups in EMEA on security risks; incidents; and other topics, by providing appropriate metrics and assist in the creation of reports for entity/fund board meetings
- Providing input into Global Security policies, standards, processes, and procedures based on business requirements, risk tolerance, and financial industry

**You’ll need**:

- To be studying at a degree level (computer science or technology related degree would be an advantage)
- To have a willingness to learn about Security and related fields such as Privacy, Business Continuity, etc. and have a desire to develop your inter-personal/professional skills
- To have a collaborative style to engage effectively with colleagues across functional disciplines and build strong working relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact directly with business partners at all levels.
- To have the ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion
- To have strong analysis and assessment skills to evaluate risks and recommend actions based on fact.
- To have the ability to translate complex/technical topics into business language
