**Production Supervisor**

Langage Farm are looking to employ a Production Supervisor to join the team at our family-run and operated creamery near Plymouth..

You will be reporting to the Operations Manager and you will be responsible for all production functions within your designated area. Effectively and efficiently meeting the customer demand placed on the factory through planning, organisation and control of resources.

Ensuring that our products are manufactured within the guidelines of the Quality Manual to ensure food safety and product quality.

Hours are around 7.00 - 16.00 including a 20 minute rest break and 30 minute lunch break. At the end of the shift you will be required to do a hand over to the evening shift Supervisor prior to leaving site.

Remuneration is dependent on experience. We also give a Christmas profit share bonus and a loyalty bonus paid after a continuous 12 months working with us. Currently the latter is £500.

As a company we will continue to develop you with qualifications in HACCP, Food Safety and Health and Safety.

**Responsibilities**:
**People**
- Implement and maintain good working practices within the factory consistent with the terms and conditions of employment, and other laid down Personnel procedures.
- Regularly review targets and performance for the purpose of continued improvement.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to production staff.
- Conduct daily briefing sessions with your production staff and team leaders.
- Keep training records and provide training for staff on production processes, signing them off against standard operating procedures.

**Product Quality**
- Ensure compliance to all procedures for conformance to the product specifications.
- Have input into the HACCP team to advise on production issues.
- Ensure the effective development of the Product process.
- Investigate new modes and methods to provide required standards.

**Planning**
- Plan for the effective utilisation of all resources for the shift 1 week ahead in conjunction with the management team.
- Longer term planning of holidays, training, project work and production trials as appropriate in consultation with production management.

**Labour Control**
- Run the department with standard crews.
- Effective utilisation of excess staff as appropriate.
- Follow up on poor performance.

**Material Control**
- Monitor waste within your area.
- Review levels of efficiencies to ensure systems are up to date.
- Ensure data integrity and completeness of all documentation.

**Additional Responsibilities**
- Effective co-ordination with all departments for the smooth and efficient running of the Dairy.
- Contribute to Team management meetings and any other meetings as required.
- Examine machine performance and report on any problematic areas.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
