Filling Supervisor – Calor Gas LtdLocation: PlymouthOur Calor Production team is on the lookout for an engaging and proactive Filling Supervisor to lead the team in meeting shift production targets on the cylinder filling lines, ensuring adherence to Calor's quality specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesPrioritize safety as the top priority, reporting hazards and taking immediate action to eliminate risks.Support the team in achieving daily production targets set by the Shift Lead.Ensure all filled cylinders meet safety and quality specifications.Develop a competent filling plant team through focused training and competency sign-offs.Take ownership of the safety, production, and quality performance of the team.Drive continuous improvement in production efficiency and safety.Adhere to site rules, PPE requirements, work instructions, and Calor instructions.Train and integrate new team members while providing ongoing training to existing members.Handle problems as they arise during the shift and contribute to continuous improvement.Qualifications and AttributesPrioritize safety as the number one priority, leading by example.Adopt a right-first-time approach and take ownership of the final product's quality to reduce rework.Demonstrable ability to lead and develop high-performing teams (desirable).Technical competence to enhance production and efficiency levels.Follow and develop technical procedures, recommending improvements.React effectively to emerging issues and take action to meet objectives.UKAS certified cylinder inspector (essential).People skills with the ability to motivate and engage staff.Effective independent worker with clear communication skills.Reliable with previous experience supervising production teams (beneficial).Calor is an exciting and inspiring company that values investment in its people's skills and knowledge.
