A fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Manager has arisen with an award winning, highly successful business in Norwich. Working with an amazing team, stunning offices with flexible, hybrid working, this will involve the following duties:
Manage the small payroll team to ensure that the monthly payroll is processed within the required in accordance with required deadlines
- Ensure that payroll processes are efficient, compliant, and simple for employees to engage with.
- Manage the administration of pension processes, ensuring that auto-enrolment, employee and company contributions and leaver processes are carried out efficiently.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all documentation and reporting requirements are fulfilled on time and without error.
- Liaise with HMRC regarding all employment - related tax and National Insurance issues.
- Manage month-end processed such as P45s and bonus accrual.
- Processing of yearly processes such as production of P11Ds and PSA submissions.
- Manage/assist with the processing of annual bonuses and share scheme payments.
- Manage payroll-related benefits, such as salary sacrifice schemes and private healthcare.
- Maintain an awareness of relevant legislation and ensure compliance with any future changes.
- Handling queries internally and liaising with the external provider
The requirements:
- CIPP qualified - preferable, not essential.
- Experience in managing in-house payrolls in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation and related employment law, including HMRC rules and statutory requirements.
- Experience within a similar role
- Supervision/management of a small team
