Cctv Compliance Officer

**The role**

This is a hybrid working role (Minimum two days in the office) which can be based from our offices in Farringdon or Sittingbourne.

This role sits within our Data Protection Team within the Governance Directorate you’ll act as a centralised resource to ensure Southern Housing is compliant with relevant laws and legislation in relation to our CCTV stock.

**What you’ll be doing **
- Advise the business on CCTV compliance in accordance with UK-GDPR legislation and the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice
- Lead on the implementation and maintenance of a centralised record of all Southern Housing CCTV stock
- Review and validate all third-party CCTV footage requests and ensure they are attributed to the correct team to fulfil via our Customer Management System (CRM)
- Lead on the implementation and maintenance of a centralised record of all third-party footage requests and work with Privacy Administrators to action Subject Access Requests in relation to CCTV
- Manage Data Protection Impact Assessments in relation to new and existing CCTV stock and ensure any risks are communicated to the business and mitigated
- Review and advise on CCTV authorisation requests from the business
- Lead on implementing a process for annual reviews of CCTV DPIAs and work with the Head of Data Protection to ensure a summary of the review is made publicly available
- Support the Data Protection Team to investigate and respond to any CCTV related breaches
- Develop and deliver training on CCTV compliance and Southern Housing’s internal procedures to key stakeholders across the business
- Advise the business on installation, positioning and signage to ensure cameras are compliant with legislation and guidance

**What you’ll need**
- Educated to A level or equivalent work experience
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent knowledge of UK-GDPR legislation and Surveillance Camera Code of Practice
- Experience of drafting policies and procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across other teams
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload
- Project management experience would be desirable
