We have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking, dynamic nurse to take on the role of Matron at Cransley Hospice, Kettering. The post holder will be an inspirational leader who has the drive and passion to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and must have a sound clinical background as will be the most senior nurse within the team. The post holder will be a key member of the leadership team across the whole of Specialist Palliative Care and must have an enthusiasm for collaborative working with other team leaders in other parts of Specialist Palliative Care. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Matron at Cynthia Spencer Hospice to ensure there is clinical consistency across both sites and also to enable staffing cover based on service need.

**The main duties of this post is**:
Undertake management responsibility for all aspects of service and operational delivery for the Hospice based teams to include monitoring of sickness absence, performance, budgetary management

Provide leadership for the Hospice based team

Actively seek out and disseminate information, governance, best practice and knowledge that supports the development of service delivery, ensuring clinical innovation and quality

Support the development of the team/s in relation to creating an environment in which excellence in clinical practice flourishes.

Drive clinical changes in service delivery

Develop robust interagency relationships with key strategic agencies supporting the Service Manager in developing integrated care pathways.

Collaboratively along with other Team Leads, take delegated responsibility in the absence of the Service Manager
