Spinwell is recruiting for a Finance Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

**RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FINANCE OFFICER**

Reporting to the Finance & Contracts Manager, the Finance Officer is responsible for the monitoring of ITDS budgets and financial controls ensuring financial performance is in line with budget and sustainable in the long-term across both councils.

**SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE FINANCE OFFICER**
- Bachelor’s degree, HNC, HND NVQ level 4 in a related business, finance or accounting field (AAT, CIMA).
- Qualified by experience.
- Extensive knowledge with the capability of producing accurate and timely management reports and financial statements
- Computerised Accounting and spreadsheet systems
- Sound working knowledge of accountancy systems and use of spreadsheets to present financial reports
- Microsoft Office Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Work Environment A thorough understanding of the environment in which local government operates
- Procurement An understanding of local government procurement rule and legislation
