Project Manager - Major Project Delivery Lead
Progressive and innovative public sector organisation seeks a Project Management Professional with excellent leadership skills to join their team as a Major Project Delivery Lead.

This is a two year fixed term contract which offers a salary of £43,000 to £48,000 along with a competitive benefits package. The position is based in Birmingham and will allow for hybrid and agile working.

Purpose

The focus of the position will be to manage the development and delivery of major transport projects to time, cost and quality. You will join a high performing team that are responsible for managing multiple projects across the West Midlands. Your role willbe to provide project management leadership for the development of significant multi-disciplinary projects.

Duties
- Manage successful delivery of allocated capital project
- Provide timely, accurate and cohesive input to the programme monitoring processes
- Support in determining the strategic direction of the Projects Function
- Day to day management of cross-functional resources (internal and third party)
- Ensure the project team is focused on the project milestones, timetable, issues and risks
- Lead project development stages, identify and define the project objectives
- Manage the approved project budget, forecasting and monitoring the budget
- Lead and manage procurement activities such as developing tender specifications
- Prepare regular project documentation for review by the Programme Board

Requirements
- Proven track record in delivery of projects to time and budget
- Ability to manage projects from start to finish
- Project Management Qualification
