**The **Opportunity**:
Avantor is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive **Logistics Planner,** to join our logistics team based in **Cambridge**. In this position you’ll support the logistics department be responsible for planning and scheduling internal logistics tasks, coordinating sample collections, and managing gas supply logistics.

By ensuring the seamless coordination of logistics tasks, you will directly support the smooth operation of cutting-edge scientific research. Your ability to manage gas supply and sample collection logistics will play a vital role in enabling researchers to focus on their groundbreaking work. Additionally, your data management and analysis will provide valuable insights to help improve our logistics processes.

This role will be a full-time permanent position based in a state-of-art facility - The Discovery Centre, Bio-Medical Campus in Cambridge. **The Team**

You'll work alongside a team of 13 Logistics Operatives, all with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and personalities. Our team fosters a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring that every member has the chance to contribute to and support the cutting-edge research happening around us. You’ll join a vibrant, diverse team and be part of our Lab and Production Services business, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories in their R&D efforts globally.

**What **we're** looking for**

**_ Experience:_**
- Proven experience in a similar Planner or Scheduler role, preferably in the pharmaceutical, logistics, or life sciences industries
- Familiarity with gas logistics, including handling helium and liquid nitrogen, with a focus on safety protocols
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to input, analyse, and present data effectively
- Exceptional attention to details
- Strong focus on customer service, with the ability to build relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional planning, organizational, and prioritization skills

**How **you'll** thrive and create an impact**
- Plan and schedule logistics tasks, ensuring timely collection of samples from laboratories using our internal system (ServiceNow)
- Coordinate gas supply logistics, including helium and liquid nitrogen deliveries, working closely with 3rd-party suppliers
- Serve as the Point of Contact (PoC) for all gas-related logistics, ensuring seamless communication between suppliers and internal teams
- Monitor and record liquid nitrogen fill data, review gas supply processes, and make improvements where necessary
- Maintain and manage logistics data using Excel, preparing reports and analyses for senior management and external clients
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics operations, optimizing efficiency and reliability
