HWC is an independent Logistics and Warehousing company, based across four locations in Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex. Our Cambridge depot houses our fleet of delivery vehicles operating across the network and to the end consumer base. HWC’s currentcustomers are White Stores Limited and Nova Outdoor Living Limited.

We’re currently looking for a Transport Planner to join our Logistics Team in Cambridge on a permanent, full-time basis.

**The Role**
As a Transport Planner, you will effectively plan the delivery of orders to our customers, ensuring efficient utilisation and co-ordination of our fleet’s resources.
Using route planning software, you will plan multiple deliveries for our mixed fleet, creating daily routes for each vehicle, communicating with drivers throughout the day and dealing with any challenges that may arise.
You will ensure routes are cost effective and that the maximum workloads distributed to each driver can be completed safely and to high standards.
Your role will also involve:
- Liaising with customers to arrange delivery dates and times
- Communicating delays and possible issues to the customer
- Running model transport network scenarios to identify operational improvements
**About You**
To be considered as a Transport Planner, you will need:
- At least two years’ experience of logistics
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A detail-oriented approach
- A proactive mentality
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
Please note, this role will require working occasional evenings and weekends.
