London, United Kingdom Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency Full time

**Criminal Enforcement Coordinator (CEC)**

The Criminal Enforcement Unit

The Criminal Enforcement Unit (CEU) is a dedicated law enforcement function within the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The CEU leads, supports and coordinates interventions to tackle the most serious criminal threats to the publicfrom the illegal sale and supply of medicines and medical devices. This is collectively referred to as 'medicrime’.

The strategic aim of the CEU is to prevent medicrime offences where we can, disrupt them where we cannot, and bring offenders to justice where we should. We work with partners to remove the means, motivation and opportunity for criminals to offend.

We are recruiting Criminal Enforcement Coordinators for the CEU’s Intelligence and Innovation command, to work at the heart of everything we do to protect the public from medicrime. This work is hugely varied. Depending on your role, you could be researchingmedicrime threats one day, compiling management information another, and assisting in the development of innovative preventative interventions in between. You may be tasked with recording incoming intelligence, discharging statutory obligations, or supportingany one of a number of the unit’s other vital capabilities over the course of your CEU career.

Who we’re looking for?

Most of our Criminal Enforcement Coordinators join us at the beginning of their civil service careers, others will have previous experience in a related field. Some join us straight from full time study. We think these diverse backgrounds bring very welcomediversity of thinking and ideas to the CEU. Whatever you’ve done before, it’s what you do next that matters most to us. If you have enthusiasm, curiosity, a problem-solving mind set and a willingness to learn, that works for us.

You’ll be part of a flexible, professional and highly motivated team where personal and professional development is encouraged. The CEU is committed to providing opportunities for our staff to try new things, with all the training and support needed to bea success.

In return, we ask that you bring computer literacy, strong communication skills, an ability to work well with others and, most importantly, the desire to make a difference.
