**Job summary**

The Crown Prosecution Service Chief Finance Officer Directorate is delighted to advertise the role of administrative officer within the payroll team.

As part of this role, you make sure information coming through to the payroll team is recorded accurately and dealt with appropriately. You file papers whilst ensuring existing filing systems are maintained and appropriately saved. You also provide other crucial administrative assistance and support to your team.

You must be 16 years old prior to starting in the role. The start date is expected to be 8-12 weeks after this advert closes.

In England and Wales it is a legal requirement that all under 18 year olds must be:

- In an apprenticeship or traineeship; or
- Spend 20 hours or more a week working, while also in part-time education or training

If you're under 18, you will need confirm how you will meet the legal requirements listed above should you be offered a position with Crown Prosecution Service.

**Job description**

As an administrative officer in our payroll team, you provide vital support to departments across the organisation. You draft, monitor and record correspondence for your team, helping them to work effectively and efficiently. Your customer service helps to maintain positive relationships with criminal justice partners, external agencies and members of the public.

**Responsibilities**
- To ensure that information coming through to the team is recorded accurately and dealt with appropriately.
- To file papers, ensuring that existing filing systems are maintained and appropriately saved.
- To provide administrative assistance and support to the team.
