**The Role**

We have a brilliant opportunity for a Medical Secretariat Supervisor to join HCA Healthcare UK. Based at our Physician’s Clinic, you will participate in the day to day operational administrative support of a busy multi consultant practice. You will provide leadership and management to all staff within the practice, including line managing medical secretaries supporting the practice and the consultants.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Line managing 3 medical secretaries all working in the designated practice
- Plan, allocate and evaluate the work of the team
- Assist with reviews, appraisals and setting staff objectives
- Assist with recruitment and selection when required
- Training and induction of new staff
- Work with PSG Operational Team to develop, implement and audit practice policies and procedures which will meet and exceed the high standards expected by service users
- Deal with complaints and escalate where appropriate

**Ideally we are looking for someone with**
- Previous Practice Managerial or Senior Medical Secretarial experience is essential, ideally private
- Previous leadership experience
- Significant understanding of Medical terminology
- Strong leadership and organisation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, accurate typing and letter proof reading skills
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of DGL, DICT8 and CWS would be an advantage
