**What will you be doing?**:

- Developing code that meets the requirement specifications and ensuring that all change is implemented using best practices
- Collaborating and communicating with technical designers, testers etc. to understand the requirements and convert them into a code, including managing standards already laid out
- Participating in defect triaging, help identify issues and ensure Unit Test, Sonar Reports, etc. are all covered as per project standards
- Tracking and highlighting all Risks/Issues/Assumptions from beginning of the requirement till closure
- Supporting Live Implementation/Deployment activities at scheduled out of office hours and Live Proving activities as and when needed after production deployments
- Reviewing SQLs and code and raising issues with the technical designers in case of any gaps
- Developing performant and scalable micro services, including logical, analytical approach to interpreting requirements and problem solve
- Liaising with technical delivery managers, when required, keeping them updated on progress against milestones, risks and issues
**What we're looking for**:

- Proven expertise in working in micro-service architecture
- Use of Jira and Confluence for documentation and task tracking
- Excellent Technical knowledge: Java, Oracle/SQL, Spring Framework / Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Active MQ, Junit/Mockito unit testing frameworks and RESTful Web services
**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Financial domain software development experience
- Application support and maintenance experience
- Knowledge of Redhat/Openshift (V3, V4), Jenkins, Splunk and/ or AWS/Cloud Technologies

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations.
