About the role.

As a GIS and Integrations Officer, you will be involved in delivery of an exciting project that is looking at the development of new software and digital solutions and how the integration with GIS can be delivered more effectively.

You will be expected to collect, analyse, manage and present geographical data in a range of formats whilst challenging the way such data is used within the Council and design new ways of publishing and sharing this data across the organisation and externally.

You will be required to deliver presentations and develop show and tell content for showcases as well as responding to enquiries, schedule meetings, run reports and ensure tasks within the project are completed. nd digital solutions and how the integration with GIS can be delivered more effectively

You must have an understand ArcGIS Pro and QGIS and have the ability to develop our Enterprise/Agol environment to develop an open data portal where data can extracted and published automatically.

This will aid with the upgrade and migration of existing back office systems to web based versions to a range of data sets and making better use of Power BI/ArcGIS dashboards.

The post is a fixed term full time position, 37hrs per week, at G-grade (£27,852 - £30,151) and will be based in Gateshead Civic Centre, but able to hybrid work remotely as well.
