We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic **Internal Sales representative** based at our Makerfield Branch. We are looking for someone who will maximise sales, build good relationships with customers whilst continually striving to exceed their expectations.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Providing quotations for customers, Price customer enquiries and return same within required time.
- Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone
- Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice
- Taking a proactive approach to timber product sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.
- Managing a portfolio of 50 + customers.
- Generate new business with existing and new customers.
- Upsell and gap analysis on existing customers.
- Cold calling
- Work to develop a positive relationship between Sales Representative(s), other Departments and customers to achieve best results for the company
- Maintain and build relationships with all customers
- Achieve monthly sales targets as set by the Branch Manager
- Deal with all retail and trade counter purchases and enquires relating to hardware, building materials and timber sales
- General housekeeping of the department to ensure all products are adequately stocked in a clean and presentable manner
- Cash handling, operation of counter tills and computer system
- Experience of working on a trade counter or customer facing role in a sales environment
- Committed and passionate about providing excellent customer service
- Target driven with a genuine passion for the customer
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a branch team
- Knowledge or a keen interest in building materials, hardware and timber
