Medical Receptionist

**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Ensure a calm, helpful and polite manner at all times coupled with the awareness of the importance of good client relationships and quality service.
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Make calls as required, to book, reschedule and amend appointments. Divert calls and take accurate messages as appropriate.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries with professionalism.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations and GDPR.
- Process patient forms and insurance information efficiently.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs.
- Assist with requests for prescriptions - including repeat prescriptions.
- Keep the reception area organised and presentable at all times.
**Experience**
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in office software and electronic health records systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A background in office management or administrative roles will be advantageous.
