**Overview**:
We are looking for an Enterprise Infrastructure Administrator to provide ICT support for BSC and its customer’s storage and compute infrastructure. Responding to incidents and carrying out high impact / major planned changes. The role will require you tocarry out large scale complex system enhancements and lead on the delivery of large scale projects, co-ordinating priorities and resources for junior members of staff, for the benefit of BSC users and the smooth operation of the infrastructure.
**Role & Responsibilities**:
- Administer and report on the storage and backup systems to provide agreed service levels.
- Complete daily checks, resolve escalated tickets and assist with project where appropriate.
- Leads the creation, improvement, and support of quality IT services with optimal utilisation of storage resources, ensuring data security, availability and integrity of business data.
- Ensures that the impact of defects and problems is evaluated. Verifies defect and problem clearance audit trails. Ensures accuracy of requisite data for use by those carrying out analyses and ensuing actions.
- Produces standards, procedures & guidelines for implementing data protection and disaster recovery functionality for business data using online and offline storage devices.
- Carries out the full range of defined tasks associated with operating and controlling the installed hardware and software. This will involve the use of multiple hardware and software platforms.
- Supervises all installation and maintenance work associated with the installation as a whole, including maintenance routines ensuring the appropriate tools and test equipment.
- Investigates and diagnoses complex high impact problems, working with staff and suppliers as appropriate.
- Resolves complex problems, co-operating with the operational Management to maintain overall performance.
**Package**:
- From £39,500 per annum
