We have a vacancy that has become available for an energetic and enthusiastic **Warehouse Operative** to join our friendly Goods in team at our Headquarters in Christchurch.

**Main focus of the Goods in Operative**:

- Main focus of the role is to work efficiently as part of the goods in team by showing commitment to complete your work and contribute to the successful delivery of the business performance targets.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers to ensure efficient and effective workflow, and to ensure that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics set by the warehouse manager, such as productivity, accuracy, and timeliness of order fulfilment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Picking stock using the latest handheld scanners
- Dispatching orders to specific requirements
- Counting, checking and putting away stock
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Working as part of a team to ensure all orders are shipped within SLA
- Follow health and safety guidelines and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe operation of equipment and machinery.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor

**Person Specification and Essential Skills**
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to high health & safety standards
- Punctual timekeeping
- Self-motivation and the ability to think fast on your feet
- Flexibility
- A Forklift licence is beneficial, but we also provide on-site training

**Advantageous Skills Include**
- Warehouse and / or logistics experience
- Strong organisational skills
- Flexibility to occasionally work additional hours, including weekends and evenings.

**Salary and Benefits**:

- Salary from £20,800 per annum

**Hours**:
Full time - Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8.30 AM - 5.30 PM (1 hour lunch)
