Ignata Finance are exclusively working with an exciting and forward-thinking business based in Brighton for the recruitment of a newly created Commercial Finance Analyst. This is a role where you will be given an opportunity to support the Financial Controllerand really hone your skills. You will need to be able to travel to London for two days a week.
There are several key areas of responsibility, finance business partnering, reporting, systems improvements and general support to other roles within the wider finance team. To be successful in this role you will be highly commercial. You will very quicklydevelop a strong understanding of the business in order to identify both new opportunities, and margin improvements. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. This role will be challenging, as your multiple priorities will changeas they operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Due to the nature of the role, you will ideally have the following:

- Excellent interpersonal skills for work with internal and external stakeholders.
- Confident using Excel (SQL/Pivots/VLookups)
- Creating commercial & insightful analysis and able to demonstrate using examples to inform decision-making
Key Responsibilities
- Provide FP&A finance support to the accounting, production, sales and customer care teams related to productivity, efficiency, planning, sales & margin reporting, and key performance metrics in a timely manner
- Partner directly with departments to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews
- Work on IT development projects and initiatives that impact the entire organisation, providing support pre and post implementation
- Use data modelling practises to analyse data and create suggestions for improvement and change
- Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made
- Identify and research variances, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
- Develop and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions
- Devise ways to improve processes to capture correct data
- Automation of manually created reports
