Facilities Co-ordinator

We are looking for a Facilities Co-ordinator / Maintenance person to work at our Head Office in Rochdale. A Driving licence is essential.
There will be the opportunity to complete a formal qualification in Facilities Management
**Duties and responsibilities will include**:
- To ensure heating plant and equipment is efficiently and effectively operated.
- Carry out any necessary duties incurred with burglar and fire alarm systems.
- To clean and maintain light fittings and to test lighting systems weekly.
- To clear blockages, remove foreign matter from sinks, toilets, drains etc. and clean up spillages as required.
- To ensure gullies, drains etc. are kept free from debris and that grounds are litter free. Maintain public walkway.
- To be responsible for ensuring clear and safe pedestrian access
- waste materials in a safe hygienic way ensuring that is available for collection as required.
- To undertake porterage tasks as required including setting up & removal of furniture.
- To undertake handypersons duties painting & decorating, basic joinery and plumbing
- To organise contractor works, read RAM documents and issue work permits where necessary.
- Other duties **t**o keep the head office functioning effectively, maintaining the site and grounds to a high standard to provide an enhanced professional & working environment.
The post holder is required to be flexible as to working hours to meet the company’s requirements.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Computer literacy, experience of using Microsoft Office (excel) Desirable
Manual handling and ladder trained.
- Good interpersonal skills
Well organised and self-disciplined with ability to prioritise under pressure
Ability to work independently and take on responsibility.
- Attention to detail.
- Fire Marshal/First Aid desirable
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £28,000.00 per year
