This role will support the Marketing Team with exciting projects on social media, events and a wide spectrum of communications.

This will be the second apprentice in our marketing department; our previous apprentice completed their qualification achieving a distinction and has progressed brilliantly within the team. We would hope this newly created apprenticeship will follow suit; working with a nominated training provider on a Business Administration NVQ (up to Level 3) with dedicated marketing modules.

**The Marketing Communications Apprentice will support the group through**:

- Creating internal and external content for use on social media accounts and in internal communications
- Valuable relationship building with other internal teams such as HR, Recruitment and Customer Excellence
- Managing the content that appears on internal communications channels across Sea View HQ
- Supporting the marketing team with co-ordination of staff events
- Ad-hoc support of sourcing content for our internal staff newsletters and blogs
- Learn the processes of stand-alone internal communication and engagement projects including event promotion, awareness campaigns, and business announcements for internal partners
- Ad-hoc support with external marketing campaigns
- Provide customer service via social listening on the Group’s social media platforms

**Through their work the Marketing Communications Apprentice will**:

- Understand the importance and impact of employee engagement
- Develop skills in different styles of internal communication within a business
- Appreciate the level of planning required to execute a successful company event
- Become a champion of all social media platforms on behalf of the company
- Understand the role of the marketing department and its influence on the company performance
- Become adept at building professional relationships

**The ideal person will**:

- A minimum of 7 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Level 4 or above
- Exceptionally capable in using Microsoft Office, and ability to learn other software packages as required
- Creative flair; an interest in copywriting, marketing and communications would be an advantage
- Thrive when working under pressure
- Have strong organizational skills
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A positive attitude towards teamwork and being able to work well with others internally and with external stakeholders.
- Show a can-do attitude with a strong work ethic
- Be self-motivated, inquisitive and willing to learn and explore new ways of achieving goals
- Be a cultural fit for GAS; happy to work independently, but flexible to change in a company experiencing rapid growth
