We are working with a fun, vibrant gifting brand who supply their quirky and unique products to several leading retailers and independents. Offering flexible hours and hybrid working with 1 day p/w in the office, they need a Key Account Manager to join theirfriendly team

Your days will involve driving new business opportunities for this brand, helping to expand their reach to UK garden centres, gift shops, and farm shops. It is important that you are highly confident in identifying and driving new wholesale opportunitieswith retailers, growing, and managing new relationships.

You will be a friendly and strategic people-person, an expert at relationship building, managing sales, P&L management, a strong understanding of the wholesale process, meeting KPIS, and wholly dedicated to pushing for the best results. **Duties for this Key Account Manager**:

- Identifying new account opportunities and driving new business and sales for the brand
- New business development, generating new leads and pipeline management
- P&L responsibility, working with the founder to create a clear sales strategy for new business
- Achieving annual sales targets and key KPIs for the company’s range
- Offering an exceptional service to all customers
- Working closely with the team to identify market opportunities
- Producing reports that identify areas for growth and improvement across each account, using this to demonstrate strategy with wider departments
- Conducting regular comp shopping to stay ahead of trends and competitor activity
- Coordinating with all internal teams to guarantee the smoothness of communication and overall knowledge of customers / orders including special requirements
- Supporting the planning and exhibiting at key trade fairs
- Ownership of stock clearance, swift sale of slow-moving stock and discounted lines

**Experience & requirements for this Key Account Manager**:

- Strong and proven experience in a similar Account Management role working with UK retailers
- People-person and excellent relationship builder (both internally and externally)
- Numeric and commercially minded
- Ability to manage complex accounts with a desire to grow and develop allocated accounts
- Fantastic attention to detail with strong communication skills at all levels
- Strong understanding of forecasting and report analysis, including market trends to identify opportunities
- Personable with expert negotiating skills
- Proactive & driven, willing to step up and take ownership
