Children with Disabilities

Eden Brown Synergy are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join a Children with Disabilities Team with Cornwall Council.
For this role it is ideal that you have recent experience of working within a children with disabilities service, however experience within child protection or similar will also be welcomed.
This role will involve the following:
- Responsibility for a caseload of children with varying levels of complex needs
- Providing emotional and physical support to children with disabilities
- Providing emotional and practical support, advice and advocacy to children with disabilities and carers as required
- Ensuring that children with disabilities who are looked after and / or on the child protection register are well supported, visited and cared for in accordance with good practice and statutory requirements
- Assessing the needs of children with disabilities whilst also recognising the needs of carers requiring assessment and provision of support
- Providing emotional and practical support, advice and advocacy to children with disabilities and carers, as required
- Liaising and developing close working relationships with other professionals and agencies to ensure service users receive services in accordance with assessed needs and within a multi-agency framework
- Ensuring that children with disabilities who are looked after and / or on the child protection register are well supported, visited and cared for in accordance with good practice and statutory requirements
- Preparing and presenting reports in a clear and accurate way
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 2 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
