Trainee Credit Control Assistant

Location: Bridgnorth

Permanent Opportunity

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 08.00am till 5.00pm, Friday 08.00am till 12.30pm

Are you an accounts trainee, worked in an account’s office for 9 to 12 months, got some Sales Ledger, accounts receivable experience, have good IT and customer service skills?

Looking to progress into a Credit Control Assistant?

Main

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Credit Control team with the sales ledgers for the company.
- Consult with the companies finance departments.
- Ensure payments are received from customers as per the company terms of business.
- Allocate payments.
- Update and maintain customer finance and credit records.
- Maintain and monitor customer credit limits.
- Process invoices, statements, credit notes.
- Answer queries from customers and consult with other departments.
- Ad hoc duties as and when required.

Person Specification
- PC Literate, Good IT skills.
- Will have 5 GCSE’s or equivalent and Maths & English
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent desirable
- Experience of working within a Finance Department
- Experience of dealing with customer queries
- Experience of credit control within Finance Department is desirable.
- The ability to work well within a busy team environment
- Professional and confident
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Particular attention to detail essential
- Ability to work under pressure.
