VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large and well-known Public Sector Organisation with the recruitment of a **Procurement Officer **to join their team based in **Newtownabbey.**

**Salary**

£39,076 per year + fantastic benefits in a modern organisation e.g. Flexi time, free parking & excellent modern offices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Planning and allocation of work to staff and development of a procurement workload plan.
- Contract management - develop contract management and supplier relationship management strategies as integral aspects of procurement activity across all contracts.
- Proactively manage and monitor supplier performance.
- Progressing tender competitions in line with procurement policies/guidance.
- Assist with the movement of procurement information into the TRIM records management system.
- Ensuring use of eTendersNI for procurement.
- Liaising with Procurement professionals internally and externally.

**The Ideal Person**:

- A relevant Professional Qualification, such as full membership of CIPS and at least two years' relevant experience working in a procurement and/or purchasing environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of e-Tenders and Pubic Sector procurement.
- High level communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels using different mediums.
- Ability to lead, manage and motivate others through change and in challenging circumstances.
- Ability to work under pressure to address and meet conflicting priorities.
- Ability to use own initiative and judgement to solve problems and respond to others.

Pay: £38,000.00-£39,076.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
