**The Company**:
Established in 1974, Designer Colours is a leading retailer and trade supplier of paint, wallpaper and other decorating supplies; North-West London’s premier destination for all things decorating.

**The Role**:
You will support the store manager with running the store, provide an excellent customer experience, drive sales and create an enjoyable working environment. You’ll build relationships with new and existing accounts to nurture their annual spending with us. You will manage inbound deliveries and maintain the showroom/stockroom.

**Duties include**:

- Preparing customer orders for paint and accessories
- Providing excellent customer service
- Using technical knowledge to help customers with product selection
- Advising on colour and design choices
- Working towards targets
- Handling cash and processing transactions
- Increasing customer basket value
- Gaining customer loyalty
- Optimising product displays for maximum effect
- Receiving, checking, sorting and logging deliveries
- Replenishing showroom stocks from the warehouse or deliveries
- Keeping the warehouse and stockroom immaculately presented

**The Individual MUST meet the following criteria**:

- Physically fit
- Fluent English
- Friendly, welcoming, confident and persuasive
- Confident in learning new computer systems
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- An interest in DIY/Decorating will be beneficial._

**Hours**:
No evenings, no Sundays. 37 hours per week, with the the possibility of overtime. You'll need a flexible approach to work during our store opening times (Mon-Fri: 7am-5pm, Sat: 8.30am-5pm).

**Location**:
Mainly based at our Mill Hill store (NW7 3NX), covering on occasion at our Stanmore store (HA7 1JJ)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour
