**Think Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working Exclusively with a Business in Bicester who are looking for a Financial Controller. This role is targeted at someone who perhaps has qualified in the last few years and is looking for a stepup, or perhaps someone who wants a more all round role - could this be you?**

**The Role**
Your primary remit is to support the Finance Director to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
You will be a motivated and focused qualified accountant who is expected to plan, organise and manage your own workload to meet internal and external demands as well as being responsible for the day-to-day management, support and guidance of the financeteam.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Management of a team of 3 covering Management Accounts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Banking
- Processing and integration of employee expenses and company credit cards
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Investment accounting
- Monthly Management Accounts and preparation of financial reporting pack
- Preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
- Managing the annual audit work including preparation of the draft statutory accounts for the group companies
- Working with tax advisors to ensure completion of compliance matters
- Preparation of management accounts and assisting with the annual audit
- Proactively looking for opportunities to improve processes and controls
- Business partnering with other departments and members of the senior management team
- Supporting the Finance Director with ad-hoc projects
- Other duties as and when required
**Person Profile**
**Skills and experience**:
- Excellent attention to detail and takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality work
- Methodical, forward thinking with the ability to prioritise workload accordingly
- Flexible with a can-do attitude
- Ability to provide analysis and insight with a view to adding value
- Experience of liaising with auditors and tax advisors as well as preparing statutory accounts
- Approachable with excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels
- A proactive, solutions driven approach to resolving queries and issues
- Experience of managing a team
- Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) ideally with at least 2 years PQE
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel as well as a good working knowledge of the broader range of tools/apps from the Microsoft suite. Experience of using a finance or ERP system is essential
- The ability to reconcile data from multiple sources would be desirable and experience of an ERP upgrade or implementation would be advantageous
Working hours are typically 37.5 hours a week, however the workload is significant, and you will be required to be fully committed and flexible in order to achieve objectives.
