**Job summary**:

To ensure this continues, we have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head of Digital Communications (Content and Engagement) to play a key role overseeing our busy content team.**Job description**:
As Deputy Head of Digital Communications (Content and Engagement) you will manage all the CMA’s content on GOV.UK and lead our output across social media and other digital channels (with a total community size of over 50,000 people), ensuring our output is creative and engaging.

You will work in close partnership with the Creative and Campaigns Lead, who oversees our digital campaigns and design work, and will make sure we’re consistently using digital channels to deliver the organisation’s priorities.

You will also work collaboratively with colleagues across the CMA and advise on appropriate digital approaches to their work and oversee the development and delivery of creative digital communications plans at pace. You will also work with and influence senior stakeholders on the development and delivery of strategies that improve our approaches to digital communications.

**Person specification**:

- Lead, develop and support the Digital Team (which includes 2 direct reports and 4 indirect reports), ensuring the development of a collegiate environment and a culture of learning and growth.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the CMA and advise on appropriate digital approaches to their work, including identifying objectives and audiences and advising on channel usage and best practice.
- Act as managing editor for the CMA on GOV.UK, working closely with The Government Digital Service (GDS), Government Communication Service (GCS) and other colleagues to oversee production of content that meets user’s needs, and maintain high standards.
- Oversee the development and delivery of creative digital communications plans at pace, using SMART objectives, and by utilising innovative approaches, social media content, and other digital channels.
- Advocate for the digital team within the directorate and across the CMA, working with and influencing senior stakeholders on the development and delivery of strategies that improve our approaches to digital communications and content.
- Advocate for and improve user experience for the CMA on GOV.UK, using evidence and data to help make decisions, acting as lead for user voice with regard to content on GOV.UK and the CMA’s social media channels, working with teams across the CMA.
- Provide quality assurance to members of the Digital Team to maintain the delivery of high-quality outputs.
