Global Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as crafted and represented by management, is adequate and functioning.

We are currently seeking an expert individual to join this team in the role of Senior Audit Manager - Prudential Risk and Finance, HSBC UK.

**In this role, you will be**:

- Supporting the relevant Head of Audit with initiating and owning the delivery of audits, some major and/or highly sophisticated, based on the critical assessment of the business, and the governance, risk and internal control frameworks.
- Driving the coordination and collaboration of a consistent delivery of audit work across the Global Businesses and Global Functions.
- Engaging with and providing strategic advice to internal partners by utilising knowledge of the business and the governance, risk and regulatory frameworks.
- Managing the interface between internal and external partners to ensure a common approach to and understanding of key deliverables.
- Play an integral role in annual as well as ongoing audit planning.

Qualifications - External

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

- Graduate, with relevant professional or post graduate qualifications (e.g. accounting, auditing, compliance)
- At least 5 years financial services Internal Audit or relevant risk management/assurance experience required
- Knowledge of Model risk and capital/liquidity management would be an advantage, including an understanding of PRA prudential reporting requirements.
- High level written and verbal communication skills with experience of communicating plans and findings to senior partners, adapting their style and approach to suit the audience, communicating in a simple and succinct way to others, delivering difficultmessages, debating the significance of topics and influencing others to their way of thinking;
The base locations for this role are Birmingham or Edinburgh, with a hybrid working pattern in place.
